Our meetings are held each month, September through July (no meeting in August), on the third Friday of the month at 19:00 (7:00pm) in Room B1073 at Fanshawe College on Oxford St. East in London, Ont.

Our next meeting is on November 18, 2011 at 19:00h

Our Guest Speaker will be:

Dr. Bill Harris

Dr. Harris is a Professor of Astronomy at McMaster University and a Globular Cluster expert. He will deliver his talk "Between Galaxies and Stars”

Everyone interested in astronomy is invited to attend and enjoy our guest speaker, member activity and observing reports, announcements of new discoveries and upcoming events, telescopes and telescope accessories show and tell, and other fun activities. Have a look at our future and past activities on our upcoming events and announcements pages to see what we are about to do and have done. Plan to take part in the fun!
Parking is free on Friday evenings, and there is plenty of room in the east parking lot off Oxford St. or Second St. and parking spaces in front of the south side of D building. Enter the college by B building doors at Oxford Street, just east of the bus stop. College signs at key hallway locations will help you find us.
After the meeting we go to a local eatery to enjoy great conversation with our guest and good food. Usually this will be Kelsey's East, which is west of Fanshawe College on Oxford St. on the north side just west of Quebec St. and east of Adelaide St.
Members of London Centre, and sometimes future members too, often get together for the Observers Group Meeting on either the Saturday or the Sunday evening following the monthly meeting. We gather at a member's home for a social chat, to discuss astronomy, telescopes, or whatever strikes our fancy. If the skies co-operate a scope will probably be set up and some observing is done. But mostly at the Observers Group Meeting the R.A.S.C. stands for Relax And Snack Club! You will find out where this month's OGM will be held at the monthly meeting, or on our Upcoming Events page for a day or two before the meeting.
