June 6thThe Transit of Venus. For the second time in eight years the inner planet Venus will cross the face of the sun as viewed from the Earth. From London the transit begins during the late afternoon and the sun sets before the transit is over. Use a #14 welders filter or a proper solar filter in order to observe safely.
